Aaaaand We're Back

That was supposed to be said in my swanky, television host voice.  Just roll with.

After 6 short weeks home in Sacramento, I finally had to come back to Santa Barbara.  Don't get me wrong, it's amazing and beautiful here but I do love the comforts of my own house, kitchen, bed, and dog.

Today, my first day here with my car aka Optimus Prius, I tried to stay out and about for as long as I could. I ran a few errands in the morning and then got a carrot smoothie from Backyard Bowls (sounds gross but it was to die for!). Then, I parked over near the harbor downtown and ran 2 miles (and walked about 1.5). I love people watching! I ran past a guy who tied a rope to two trees and was tightrope walking back and forth. That guy must have some MAJOR ab muscles. Next was the grocery store. I first went to Trader Joe's and got my basic fruits, veggies, etc. Whole Foods came next because I was determined to find rice paper for spring roll wraps. I must be veggie deprived because I was actually craving, yes, CRAVING cucumber and spinach.

Then I got home and cleaned my freaking heart out because my kitchen was nasty. After it was Cloroxed and spotless, I grabbed a magazine (Wow, I'm just going to stop here for a second because I just had the craziest deja vous! Me propped up in this awkward position on my bed, writing my blog and thinking about this exact situation. Ahh freakkkkyyy!) and I ellipticalled for 20 minutes while reading Fitness.

Now, I've showered up and made dinner. I'm having a spring roll with tofu and dipping it in Trader Joe's Cilantro Salad Dressing. Mmmm! I think I went a little overboard and stuffed it too full because everything was falling out when I tried to dip it. Eh, well I'll know better next time!

PS It's 77 degrees and feels like the middle of summer here. Hope you're keeping warm! :)

  1. Oh my gosh, I am SO incredibly jealous of the weather there! It's less than 20 degrees here! NOT COOL haha

Enjoy your delish dinner and evening. Sounds like quite the eventful day back, I love people watching as well!
